Do you remember that summer eve,
When the stars spotted the atmosphere
And the night zephyr cooled the earth?
Our silhouettes glided perfectly in sync
And with each step the luminaries flickered,
Along with your eyes.
That night was ephemeral,
But is never to be lost,
Engraved in eternal ink on my mind.
I cherish it there.
I still believe in the summer,
In our diluted love.
With every breeze, there is some change of pace.
And although the breeze carries on mystification,
Sincerely I pray,
And secretly I wish,
To return to every half moon moment.
I close my eyes and we’re there, my love;
I inhale once, and we are again;
All time restored.
If only it were so simple.
